Cream Scones

Information about Karen: Karen and her husband Les have inherited some wonderful recipes passed down from family members. She is an amazing "home" cook and everyone goes back for seconds. Karen has kindly shared some of her amazing recipes with us for this site.


Information about this recipe: - One Tablespoon of Cornflour to each cup of flour makes scones lighter if needed. - Add 1/4 tspn mustard and 65 g grated cheeses. - Add 1/2 cup dried fruit.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups SR Frour
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 tspn Sugar
  • 300 ml Cream
  • 300 ml MIlk
Method
  • Heat up oven to 200C
  • Combine dry ingredients
  • Stir in Cream and Milk
  • Combine to a soft dough then turn out onto a floured board
  • Knead lightly until it combines. Pat it down to a thickness of 1 inch (2.5cm)
  • Cut out with pastry cutter and place on oven tray
  • Cook for 15 minutes
