Homestead Pie

Information about Karen: Karen and her husband Les have inherited some wonderful recipes passed down from family members. She is an amazing "home" cook and everyone goes back for seconds. Karen has kindly shared some of her amazing recipes with us for this site.

Ingredients
  • 600 g Diced Chicken Meat (can use any type of meat)
  • Oil Spray
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 250 g Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 Sachets Cup A Soup- Cream of Chicken
  • 2 Sachets Cup A Soup- Cream of Mushroom
  • Seasonings
  • Puff Pastry Sheets
Method
  • Spray either 3 Rammekins ( big) or one large Dish with oil
  • Cook and brown Chicken for 3 minutes
  • Add onion, cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Add Mushrooms and cook 2 minutes
  • Mix milk and soups together
  • Add to pan
  • Boil then put into Rammekins / or large dish and let cool
  • Add pastry top
  • Bake 15-20 minutes in 220C oven
