Italian Sauce

Ingredients
  • 2 kg tomatoes
  • 2 Cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 Tblspn Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • Boiling water
Method
  • Cut a small cross in the bottoms of the tomatoes, place in a bowl and cover with boiling water for 5 mins
  • Peel tomatoes and chop up roughly
  • In a large pan place tomatoes, garlic and olive oil
  • Bring to the boil then simmer for 45 mins
  • Add tomato paste and simmer slowly for 10 minutes
  • Store in airtight jars
