Chinese Style Fillet Steak

Information about this recipe: This recipe was a favourite of Karen's in a Chinese Restaurant, so she fiddled until she got the recipe tasting as close to the restaurant's as she could.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg Fillet Steak
  • 1 tspn Bi Carb Soda
  • 2 tspn Sugar
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2 tspn Cornflour
  • 1 Tblspn Soy Sauce
  • 2 tspn Sherry
Method
  • Slice meat into 1 cm pieces then gently flatten
  • Mix all other ingredients together
  • Put meat in mix and marinade for 3 hours
  • Heat oil in pan on medium heat
  • Brown one side of the meat then the other
