Cornish Pasties

Information about Karen: Karen and her husband Les have inherited some wonderful recipes passed down from family members. She is an amazing "home" cook and everyone goes back for seconds. Karen has kindly shared some of her amazing recipes with us for this site.

Ingredients
  • 500 g Mince
  • 1 Onion, diced small
  • 2 Potatoes, diced small
  • 1 Celery Stick, diced small
  • 1 Garlic Clove, diced small
  • 1 Carrot, diced small
  • 4 Sheets Shortcrust Pastry
  • Egg Wash (egg and milk whisked together)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Seasonings
Method
  • Mix all in a bowl
  • Cut pastry in 2 diagonally
  • Divide mix up on sheets on one side
  • Fold over and seal with a fork
  • Baste surface with egg wash
  • Place pasties on a baking tray lined with baking paper
  • Bake for 45 minutes in 200C oven
