Fish Cakes

Information about Karen: Karen and her husband Les have inherited some wonderful recipes passed down from family members. She is an amazing "home" cook and everyone goes back for seconds. Karen has kindly shared some of her amazing recipes with us for this site.


Information about this recipe: This recipe was passed onto Karen from her Aunty Betty, who also lived in the Wanaaring area for many years.

Ingredients
  • 600 g Mashed Potatoes-- about 4 medium ones
  • 425 g Tuna in Brine- drained and flaked
  • 95 g Smoked Salmon
  • 1 Tblspn Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
Method
  • Mix all ingredients together
  • Let cool for 1 hour
  • Form into patties with Ice Cream Scoop
  • Roll in breadcrumbs
  • Fry in oil until brown
