Garlic Tumeric Rice

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or coconut oil.
  • 1/2 medium onion finly diced.
  • 4 cloves garlic minced.
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric powder.
  • 2 cups (370gm) basamati rice or your choice long grain rice, rinced and drained.
  • 3 cups chicken stock or vege stock.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste.
Method
  • Melt butter in pot over medium heat.
  • Add onion and garlic and saute for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Add tumeric powder and stir to combine.
  • Mix rice in until the grains are evenly coated lightly toasted.

To serve
Dish serve with marinated chicken kababs or any grilled vegies, seafood or meat to serve.
